PT Pertamina Hulu Energi Offshore North West Java (PHE ONWJ) has resumed the construction of its onshore processing facility (OPF) in Balongan, Indramayu regency, West Java after it was forced to suspend the works due to floods.
The construction works were suspended several weeks ago due to floods.
"Now the works have been back to normal,? Executive Vice President/General Manager of PHE ONWJ, Jonly Sinulingga told Petromindo.com.
He said the construction of the offshore platform is on schedule which is still being built by PT Meindo Elang Indah in construction yard in Handil, East Kalimantan.
"All long lead items have been ready, so we are confident that the project can be completed on time," he said, adding that the project is scheduled for completion in early 2015 as stipulated in the Plan of Development (PoD).
The company is looking for ways to finish the project earlier than schedule, around the end of 2014.
The Balongan OPF project is part of the development of the GG gas field offshore Cirebon, West Java. Aside from the onshore processing facility, an offshore platform will built which will be linked with the onshore facility by a 350-km underwater pipeline. The offshore platform, which is being built PT Meindo Elang Indah at Handil yard, East Kalimantan, is expected to be competed on schedule.
Gas from the GG field will be processed at the Balongan OPF to produce LPG for strategic industries in Indramayu regency, such as the RU VI Balongan refinery, local administration-owned enterprises, and as fuel for oil lifting at the X-Ray rig owned by Pertamina EP.
