PHE ONWJ to repair platform in August

PT Pertamina Hulu Energi said that its subsidiary PT Pertamina Hulu Energi Offshore North West Java (PHE ONWJ) will repair its platform Lima in the block of Offshore North West Java in August this year.
The repair, which will be implemented by PT Timas with the supervision of technology from Versabar, is expected to last for two months.
PHE will coordinate with PT Pertamina EP (PEP) to secure the gas supply so that gas flowing to customers will not be affected.
?Both PHE and PEP have guaranteed that there will be no disturbance of gas flow to customers. We?ve informed our clients since the last few months. We?re doing preparations and implementation will be in August this year.
?Gas supply from ONWJ will not be totally shut down. Only about 20 MMSCFD from the total current production of 200 MMSCFD. So we can still supply gas according to contract,? PT Pertamina Hulu Energi President Director Tenny Wibowo told Petromindo.com in Jakarta on Tuesday.
Tenny has also guaranteed that the two month repair will not affect the gas flow to all customers.
Separately, PT Pertamina EP President Director Syamsu Alam said that the repair has to be made as there is a subsidence of the platform.
"There has been a subsidence in a number of platforms offshore L Parigi field (PHE ONWJ), so that we need to do a jack up. We?re now making preparations for the repair in August. During the two month repair, all production wells have to be shut down,? Syamsu Alam told Petromindo.com
Syamsu pointed out that to mitigate the impact of the total shut down in the platform, PEP will reroute all sub-sea pipelines so that gas production from PEP wells which now relies on the facilities in L Parigi platform will not be affected.
