PHE, PetroChina to resume Sukowati drilling campaign

PT Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE) with its partner PetroChina will resume development drilling campaign at Sukowati oilfield onshore East Java next week, a company official said on Tuesday.

PHE president Dwi Martono said that the partnership had secured necessary permit and drill 5 wells. The rig is currently on standby in location, he said.

Dwi said that the campaign is part of the plan to keep production at the minimum rate of 48,000 BPD. ?We are trying hard to reach the target of 50,400 BPD this year, but it?s going to be hard,? he said. (godang)
