PHE plans to drill Kumis #2 well in Siak PSC next year

Officials of PT Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE), a subsidiary of state-owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina, recently met with the Rokan Hulu Regency administration in a bid to push the latter to quickly issue the local permit for the planned drilling of Kumis #2 exploration well in the Siak PSC, which is located in the regency.
PHE said in a statement obtained Monday that it plans to drill the well next year.
The company said that during the meeting, Acting Regent of Rokan Hulu, Sukiman welcome the drilling program, and promised to soon issue the principal permit.
PHE said in February that it planned to drill the Kumis #2 well in the second semester of this year.
Siak PSC was formerly operated by Chevron Pacific Indonesia but was transferred to Pertamina in 2014.
