PHE, PLN renegotiate ONWJ?s gas price

PT PLN and PT Pertamina Hulu Energi, a subsidiary of state oil and gas firm PT Pertamina, are currently renegotiating gas price delivered from PHE?s Offshore North West Java (ONWJ) block to the state owned electricity firm?s Muara Karang gas power plant in North Jakarta.

?It is true that we are currently in renegotiation of the gas price from ONWJ for Muara Karang power plant,? M. Suryadi Mardjoeki, Division Head for Oil and Gas of PLN, told petromindo.com.

He said that PHE is seeking to raise the price to US$6 per million British thermal unit (mmbtu), from US$2.8 per mmbtu at present. He however declined to disclose what the gas price level that PLN would like to agree upon.
