PHE, Raja Ampat sign HOA on gas allocation for power plants

PT Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE), an upstream subsidiary of state-owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina, signed on Wednesday a heads of agreement (HOA) with PT Raja Ampat Makmur (RAM) for the utilization of 20 mmscfd of gas from the Teluk Berau C gas field at the Salawati Kepala Burung PSC in West Papua Province for electricity generation and industries.

The HOA was signed by PHE President Director Gunung Sardjono Hadi and RAM President Director Madani Selviana Wanma, witnessed by Director General of Oil and Gas IGN Wiratmaja Puja, the directorate general of oil and gas said in a statement.

RAM will allocate the gas for power plants and industries in Raja Ampat Regency, Papua Province, and in Halmahera, Maluku.

PHE?s Gunung said that the signing of the HOA is expected to be followed later on with the signing of gas sales and purchase agreement.
