PHE Randugunting plans to start gas and condensate production at the Randugunting blok in East Java Province in August of next year, according to a company senior official.

General Manager of PHE Randugunting, Abdul Mutalib Masdar said on Monday that the company has been instructed by its parent, state-owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina, to accelerate the processes toward production in August.

He said that the company has submitted the first plan of development (POD-1) to upstream oil and gas authority SKK Migas.

The move to quickly start production at Randugunting block comes following the company?s success in the drilling of the RGT# well, which was spudded in November of 2016. ?The results was quite satisfying, with absolute open flow potential (AOFP) of 115.5 mmscfd,? he told Petromnindo.com.

According to Mutalib, in the POD-1, gas production is targeted to reach 2 mmscfd, which will plateau for 5.5 years for a production period of 8.5 years. Condensate production is estimated at 22.4 bopd.

PHE Randugunting has signed agreements with PT Pertagas, PT Super Energi, and PT PGN in May 2017 as offtakers of the Randugunting block gas output. In accordance with the POD-1, the gas will be delivered to gas processing unit at CNG Mother Station of the gas buyer in Semarang, Central Java. Meanwhile, condensate will be collected at production tank facility in Randugunting to be later delivered to the Central Processing Area (CPA) owned by JOB PPEJ in Mudi.

Mutalib said that drill stem test on the RGT#2 well has been conducted four times.

He said that going forward, PHE will develop other prospects via drilling of Lasem and Wonopotro Structures.
