PT Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE) is preparing itself for the arrival of platform ordered from Bakrie Construction in Cilegon and that will be transported to West Madura Offshore (WMO) Block. The ship carrying the platform will be leaving Cilegon for the WMO on Saturday (August 8).

"The ship will be departing on Saturday, but on Friday we?ll hold a ceremony to see the ship off with its sailing. Jacket and deck of KE-40 have been loaded up to the ship. Currently, all necessary pipes are being loaded to the ship and welding is being conducted to secure them during the mobilization,? PHE President Director Salis Aprilian told Petromindo.com in Jakarta on Tuesday.

Salis said that the installation of the platform and pipes on site would take until the end of September so that drilling could be started in early October.

Previously in May, it was reported that PHE was installing a 21 km-long pipeline linking KE-38 well at its West Madura Offshore block and Poleng production facility in East Java. It also expected the arrival of the new platform it has ordered from Bakrie Construction.
