PT Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE) has rescheduled the dewatering of two coal bed methane (CBM) wells in Muara Enim PSC, South Sumatra, from the original schedule of December 2013 to the second or third quarter of this year.

General Manager of PT PHE Gas Metana Batubara (PEH GMB), Eko Rudi Tantoro told Petromindo.com that the dewatering of one CBM well in Tanjung Enim PSC, South Sumatra, which was supposed to be held late last year, has also been pushed back to the second or third quarter of this year due mainly to the limited availability of rig and supporting facilities.

The Muara Enim PSC covers an area of 652.6 sq km. PT Trisula CBM Energy, a wholly-owned subsidiary of ASX-listed firm NuEnergy Gas Limited, holds a 40% participating interest and operatorship, with the remaining 60% held by PHE GMB.

The Tanjung Enim block is co-owned by ASX-listed Dart Energy, PHE, and IDX-listed coal miner PT Tambang Batubara Bukit Asam (PTBA). Drt holds a 45 percent interest, while the remainders are equally owned by PHE and PTBA.
