PHE set to make FEED for Nunukan block

PT Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE), a subsidiary of state owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina (Persero), is set to start making Front End Engineering Design (FEED) for the Nunukan block in North Kalimantan.

The main part of the FEED will be made by a third party, while the rest will be made by Upstream Technology Center (UPC) Pertamina, PHE Nunukan General Manager Alfian Husein said, while adding the tender for the main part of the FEED is ongoing.

He noted however the firm has yet to receive the government?s approval of the Plan of Development (PoD) of the block. ?Until today, we have yet to receive the approval? he said.

The directorate general of oil and gas recently said that Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Sudirman Said approved the PoD of the block?s Badik and West Badik fields on March 30.

Under the PoD, the block will produce 60,000 mmscfd and 1800 bpd starting in 2019.

The block is operated by PT Pertamina Hulu Energi with a 66.67 percent interest. It partners with Indian firms Videocon Industries (20.83 percent) and Bharat PetroResources Ltd. (12.50 percent).
