PHE: Sukowati field SKW-18 drilling on target depth, SKW-22 progressing

Joint operation body Pertamina-Petrochina East Java is currently embarking on drilling campaign on its Sukowati field, Tuban, onshore East Java as a move to boost the field?s oil and gas production. In latest development, the operator said that the drilling of SKW-18 well has reached target depth.

Salis Aprilian President Director of PT Pertamiha Hulu Energi (PHE), a subsidiary of state oil and gas company PT Pertamina, which develops the field in collaboration with Petrochina, told Petromindo.com that the operator is preparing to run ?well logging? at the target formation.

Well logging is a process of recording the well data, including measuring the electrical, acoustic, radioactive and electromagnetic properties of the subsurface formations.

He added that the SKW-22 well drilling is still progressing.

As for total production, the Sukowati field currently produces oil at 40,750 BOPD, while nearby field Mudi produces 1,400 BOPD and gas production reaches around 12 MMSCFD.

PT Gasuma, in cooperation with PT Bangkit Bangun Bersama , a Bojonegoro regency owned company , is the off-taker of the Sukowati gas field.
