PHE to drill 67 exploration wells in 2012

PT Pertamina Hulu Energy (PHE), a subsidiary of state oil and gas company PT Pertamina, said it plans to drill up to 67 exploration wells next year, aiming at finding more oil and gas potentials, said PHE President Director, Salis Aprilian.
He however did not disclose the locations of the exploration wells.
As for this year, the company has completed the drilling of 14 exploration wells, while presently three more wells are being drilled.
Salis said based on testing on wells that have been drilled, including those located within Offshore South East Sumatera (OSES) Block and CBM Sangata I field, around 5.6 billion standard cubic feet (BSCF) additional gas could be produced.
Salis said testing to assess oil and gas in the KKT-1 well within the Offshore North West Java (ONWJ) is being conducted. (godang)
