PHE to drill Central Java block in August

PT Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE), an upstream subsidiary of state oil, gas company PT Pertamina (Persero) said on Wednesday it will start drilling the first exploration well in Randu Gunting block onshore Central Java in August.

PHE President Dwi Martono told Petromindo.Com that the well will be named Cempaka Emas. He did not give further detail.

PHE has 40 percent interest in the block, while Vietnam?s PIDC and Petronas equally share the remaining balance. (bernard)
