PHE to spud Badik 2 well soon

PT Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE) will drill the Badik#2 well in Nunukan block, East Kalimantan later this month.
?The drilling of the appraisal well is scheduled for third week of this month,? Sugeng Haryanto, PHE?s spokesman, said on Friday.
The firm also planned to spud Badik#3 well at the end of this year. The drilling of the two wells aims to determine the estimated oil and gas reserves.
?If the drilling of the two wells are successful, a third well (West Badik#1) will be drilled in April, 2014,? he said.
Jack up rig will be used for the drilling, with average total depth of 10,500 feet and water depth of around 240-270 feet, he added.
If everything runs smoothly, PHE will carry out study on pre-Plan of Development (PoD) next year and the PoD is expected to be submitted to upstream authority SKK Migas at the end of 2014.
