PHE to start drilling in Tiaka, Central Sulawesi

PT Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE), a subsidiary of state oil and gas company PT Pertamina, is making preparations to conduct drillings in North Tiaka, Central Sulawesi, which is expected to increase gas production for the Donggi Senoro liquefied natural gas (LNG) plant.
"Now rig is being prepared in Tiaka. Hopefully, we?ll soon start spudding early this month,? PT PHE Presiden Director Salis Aprilian told Petromindo.com in Jakarta on Monday.
According to PHE Operational Director Edi Purnomo, the drilling activities in North Tiaka (Tiaka -11, Tiaka-12 and Tiaka 13) will be started early this month (July 2012). ?God?s willing, we?ll start early this month. Now, we?re preparing for the drillings,? he said.
