PHE to submit POD of Randu Gunting in August

PT Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE), a subsidiary of state owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina, is scheduled to submit Plan of Development (POD) for the Randu Gunting block in August of this year to the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources for approval, according to an official of the firm.
"The Randu Gunting POD will be submitted in August 2017," President of PHE Gunung Sardjono said on Thursday.
PHE completed in January drilling of Randugunting (RGT)-2 well in Randugunting block, East Java Province. Rudy Ryacuku, Exploration Director at PHE, said previously that production test results show gas find of more than 20 mmscfd at the well, which can be used to meet gas demand in Java. He added that the results will be further evaluated both in terms of technical and commercial aspects.
He said that the drilling of the RGT-2 well started on November 21 of last year with a target total depth of 1,500 meters. The well was put under temporary plug and abandon status on January 12.
