PT Pertamina Hulu Energi West Madura Offshore (PHE WMO), the operator of West Madura Offshore PSC, offshore East Java, produced 15,490 bopd of oil and 110.152 mmscfd of gas from the block as of April of the year, a positive result in view of the target set by upstream authority SKK Migas.

PHE WMO President Director/GM Boyke Pardede said SKK Migas target WMO?s production at 14,373 bopd and 110.83 mmscfd throughout the year.

He said PHE WMO is very proud of the fact it is still able to carry out drilling activities this year to maintain production despite the slump in oil prices since last year -- a condition which has forced all companies to make adjustments.

The firm said that it also booked a positive result in 2014 with an oil production of 20,292 bopd and gas production of 116.5 mmscfd. In comparison, oil production reached 18,086 bopd and gas production reached 114.5 mmscfd in 2013.

?PHE WMO feels proud of the production achievement. PHE WMO was able to surpass the lifting target set by the government with a good work safety and security,? Boyke said.

In 2014, PHW MWO was able to increase oil and gas production by 1,250 bopd and 9.53 mmscfd after conducting 147 well work activities

?Aside from well work activities, PHE WMO completed 3D broadband seismic acquisition activities in KE-5 area measuring 892 sq km. The seismic acquisition is part of the efforts to look for and increase new reserves in WMO block,? he said.

Another projects that PHE WMO was able to complete on schedule is the relocation of the block?s 16-inch underwater pipeline built by the previous operator Kodeco in shipping lane area to outside shipping lane area.
