PT Pertamina Hulu Energi West Madura Offshore (PHE WMO) found oil and gas in PHE48-1 exploration well at the block off Bangkalan, Madura, following a successful production test.

?Drilling reached around 11,000 feet in depth. A production test resulted in flows of 1,650 bopd of oil and 13 mmscfd of gas at the Kujung formation,? said Senior Executive VP & GM Imron Asjhari in a media statement on Wednesday.

The well is located 5 km south of Central Processing Platform (CPP) in Poleng. Throughout 2012, PHE WMO drilled four exploration wells and found reserves in all of them.

After successful effort in PHE48-1 well, the COSL Seeker rig will now be mobilized to drill a development well in the newly-installed platform PHE-38B. PHE will also conduct drilling in PHE-40 platform which was installed last month.

PHE is currently preparing two new platforms, PHE-54 and PHE-39, for installation next month.
