PHE WMO increases production

Currently, the company said that its oil production from the WMO Block is approaching 17,000 barrels per day. It is expected its production will continue to increase so that by the end of this year it can reach the target of 20,500 barrels per day.
?We rely on Pertamina to raise our national oil production,? SKK Migas Operational Control Deputy Muliawan said in Jakarta on Tuesday.
The latest production is an increase of 23 per cent if compared to WMO Block production at 13,725 barrels per day recorded on 7th May 2011 when the block was handed over to PHE WMO.
The 38th well of B3 is the third well of eight new wells planned in PHE 38B field. The three new wells have contributed 10,000 barrels of oil and 11 MMSCFD of gas to the total production of the company.
According to Muliawan, the plan of development (POD) PHE 38B is considered as a breakthrough project because its exploration drilling up to its first production only took about 8 months and 11 days. ?PHE WMO has got a high appreciation as it has implemented the project very well,? he said.
PHE WMO General Manager Bambang Kardono pointed out that in the first quarter, the exploration in PHE WMO with four rigs has resulted in the drilling of six of the total 21 development wells and three of the total nine exploration wells planned.
?We hope that with the additional drilling of wells, the production target of 20,500 barrels per day can be realized,? he said.
Other activities that will support the production include the finalization of the pipe network development using 16? pipe along 21 kilometer linking the new platforms in PHE 39, PHE 54, PHE 38B, up to Poleng Process Platform. The whole pipeline is expected to be finalized by May 2013, so that the additional production from new development wells can be channeled through the new pipeline.
