PHE WMO production on the raise

PT Pertamina Hulu Energi West Madura Offshore (PHE-WMO), operator of WMO block in East Java, reported on Friday that the average production so far this month has reached over 22,000 bopd.

It represents an increase from 20,300 bopd average production in June and 17,000 bopd in May, according to Senior Executive VP & General Manager at PHE WMO Bambang Kardono.

"This means that production has risen by around 70 percent over the past two years. When PHE WMO received the block from the government in May 2011, production was averaging 13,000 bopd," said Bambang.

Bambang added that the higher production mainly came from the production increase in three wells,PHE 38B-5, PHE 40A-5 and PHE 40A-3.

The company is optimistic that yearlong average will exceed the government's target of 20.443 bopd.
