PT Pertamina Hulu Energi West Madura Offshore (PHE WMO), the operator of West Madura Offshore PSC in East Java, booked a slight increase in oil and gas production in 2014.

The block produced 20,292 barrels of oil per day (bopd) in 2014, up from 18,086 bopd in the previous year; and 116.5 mmscfd of gas, up from 114.5 mmscfd, the firm said in a statement on Thursday.

?We are proud of PHE WMO?s achievement in 2014. PHE WMO manages to maintain and raise oil and gas lifting with good work safety and security records,? PHE WMO?s President/GM Boyke Pardede said.

Last year, the firm managed to add 1,254 bopd and 9.53 mmscfd to its oil and gas production thanks to 147 workover activities. Aside from workover activities, the firm completed 3D broadband seismic acquisition on 300 sq km in PHE-5 area in order to add up the block?s reserve. To cope with the oil price drop, the firm is decreasing drilling activities this year but will maintain the production level by wellwork activities and production facility optimization.

For this year, SKK MIgas has set target for PHE WMO to produce 14,373 bopd and 110.83 mmscfd. Until April, the firm produced 15,490 bopd and 110.152 mmscfd
