Philippine firm enters Sulawesi mine venture

Philippine firm Imperial Resources Inc. has agreed to become a partner of Indonesian firm PT. Indominas to mine for metal in Indonesia, Philippine Daily Inquirer reported on Friday.

Indominas has a 4,779-hectare mining claim in South East Sulawesi.

Imperial?s president, Oliverio G. Laperal, signed a memorandum of agreement with Indominas president Eddy Surohadi. The parties will engage in mining activities in Kolaka and Bombana, South East Sulawesi.

The partnership also involves marketing gold and other precious metals.(*)
