IDX-listed PT Benakat Integra Tbk plans to sell coal output from its subsidiary PT Putra Hulu Lematang (PHL) to power plant companies in the country when the South Sumatra mine starts full production next year.
Benakat Finance Director Michael Wong said on Thursday that PHL is currently in trial production stage. As has been previously reported by this portal, the coal mining company is expected to run full production next year, in line with the completion of a number of infrastructure facilities, with an annual output target of 395,000 tons.
Michael, however, said that the company has yet to sign contracts with domestic buyers. He added that PHL will ramp up production when coal price continues to recover.
Benakat acquired at the end of 2014 PT Mega Abadi Jayatama, which owns 50 percent interest in PHL.
