Secretary General of the Indonesia Nickel Miners Association (APNI), Meidy Katrin Lengkey, said the development of the global electric vehicle (EV) industry no longer depends solely on the availability of battery raw materials. As the world’s largest nickel producer and holder of the largest nickel reserves, Indonesia plays a strategic role in the global EV battery supply chain. Nickel is one of the key raw materials used in nickel manganese cobalt (NMC) and nickel cobalt aluminum (NCA) EV batteries. (APNI)
