Power company PT Pupuk Indonesia Energi (PIE), a subsidiary of state-owned fertilizer firm PT Pupuk Indonesia, plans to develop a waste-based power plant with capacity of 10 MW in Palembang, South Sumatra.
This was said by PIE President Director Tentaminarto Tri Februartono on Wednesday. ?The capacity is small. The electricity output will be sold to PLN,? he said, referring to state-owned electricity firm PT PLN.
He said that the project will require waste supply of around 1,000 tons per day. He did not provide further details about the planned project.
