Pilona Petro produces 28,160 barrels of oil in Lahat

National oil company Pilona Petro has invested tens of billion rupiah in Lahat district to explore for oil, according to field superintendent for Tanjung Lontar field Kemas Sutawijaya.

Kemas said that the company had produced 28,160 barrels of crude oil since 1999 until now, or 19.2 percent over the target of 23,616 barrels. Those oil were flowing from oil wells in a number of fields, including Tanjung Lontar, Sengkuang, Arahan and Banjarsari in Merapi.

He added that total crude oil production for year 2000 was expected to reach 183,973 barrel, including 152,705 barrels from Banjarsari/Arahan fields, 24,354 barrels from Tanjung Lontar and 6,914 barrels from Sengkuang field. (*)
