State owned fertilizer producer PT Pupuk Iskandar Muda (PIM) in Aceh has received additional gas supply of about 3,300 million standard cubic feet (MMSCF) from ExxxonMobil, Kontan reported on Saturday.

R. Priyono, the head of the oil and gas regulatory body BPMIGAS, said in Jakarta on Friday that the additional gas supply, equivalent to a cargo of liquefied natural gas (LNG, would enable PIM to operate its two fertilizer plants.

?The additional gas supply will be the last shipment of six cargos of LNG to be received by PIM,? he said. The additional gas which will be supplied from Exxon?s Arun field from December to February would be able to meet the gas needs of PT PIM for two months.

PIM, which needs gas supply of between 11 and 12 cargos to operate the two plants annually, plans to produce about 1 million tons of urea next year. (*)
