Pipeline leak reported in Arun field

A minor leak in a condensate pipeline was reported at the facilities operated by ExxonMobil Oil Indonesia (EMOI) in Arun field?s Custer III and IV, a senior official of upstream authority BP Migas said on Thursday.

Operations deputy Trijana Kartoatmodjo said EMOI had mobilized a team to implement emergency response measures and an investigation into the cause of the incident.

?Both the emergency response measures and the investigation are continuing at this time,? he said.

EMOI has notified appropriate governmental authorities and is working closely with these authorities to ensure the safety of the local community and operators are not impacted by the incident

Potential low production of about 300 million cubic feet per day was indicated, he said. (Godang)
