Pit to Port system to be installed at Adaro Indonesia

Australian company QMASTOR Limited announced Tuesday that it had signed a 5-year contract with coal miner PT Adaro Indonesia for the provision and support of QMASTOR's Pit to Port system.

The Pit to Port system to be installed at four sites in Indonesia will provide tracking, modeling and optimization of the complex domestic and export coal supply chains from the coal deposit through to trucking, conveying, barging, shipping, commercial and customer management.

Managing director of QMASTOR Limited, Trent Bagnall, said: "QMASTOR is delighted to fulfil PT Adaro's need for a marketing and logistics management system to manage their complex bulk material supply chain. The use of Pit to Port logistics optimization technology in improving transport scheduling is a key component to the solution. Pit to Port will provide PT Adaro with the tools and visibility to integrate the management of the operations, logistics and marketing functions".

Adaro is Indonesia?s largest coal producer, operates a major steam coal deposit in the Tanjung District of South Kalimantan producing over 20 million tonnes per annum. (alex)
