PJB acquires diesel-fired power plant

PT Pembangkitan Jawa bali (PJB), a subsidiary of state?owned electricity firm PT PLN, has received an additional asset, a diesel-fired power plant with a capacity of 6x10.4 MW in Supaddari, Pare-Pare City, South Sulawes, Bisnis.com reported Saturday.

The portal quoted PJB Corporate Communications Senior Manager Yama Bellatrixiana as saying that the power plant was transferred from PLN, which acquired from PT Makassar Power after the latter?s contract expired.

Yama said that the power plant is designed for a dual fuel that can be fired by diesel and gas. Going forward, PJB will switch to gas as the source of fuel for the power plant, to be operated by PJB subsidiary, PJB Services.(*)
