PJB coal supply tender attracts 79 potential bidders

PT.Pembangkitan Jawa-Bali (PJB), a power generation unit of state electricity firm PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN), said Monday that recent coal supply tenders it held for Paiton power plant in East Java attracted 79 potential bidders.
The company?s official told Petromindo.Com on Monday that 47 suppliers were registering to bid for re-tender package to supply 60,000 tonnes per month of coal with CV of 4,900Kcal/kg (AR) for one year from June 2009 to May 2010.
Another 32 registered to bid for the new tender package to supply 30,000 tonnes per month of coal with CV of 5,100 Kcal kg (AR) for three years from June 2009 to May 2012.
The official did not give details of the bidders.
Registration was closed on May 20, 2009.
The official did not say when the winners will be announced. (Denny)
