PT.Pembangkitan Jawa-Bali (PJB), a power generation unit of state electricity firm PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN), said Tuesday that the tender for 60,000 tons per month of coal supply for its Paiton power plant in East Java attracted 87 bidders.
?Actually, there are 110 bidders who took the document bid but only 87 of them attended the hearing session,? the PJB?s tender official told Petromindo.Com.
The official said that the bidders are either KP holders or trading firm.
The company announced on April 14, 2009 that the tender would seek miners/traders to supply the power plant with coal having calorific value of 4,800 ? 5,000 kcal/kg (AR) from this year through next year.
The winner is expected to be announced 4-5 days after PJB selects the lowest bid, scheduled for May 5, 2009, the official added. (denny)
