PJB obtains operation, maintenance contract for Bitung plant

PT Pembangkit Jawa Bali (PJB), a subsidiary of state-owned electricity company PT PLN, said it has obtained a contract for the operation and maintenance of a 2x16.5 MW coal-fired power plant in Bitung, Bangka Belitun Province.

The company signed the operation and maintenance agreement on Wednesday with the PLN Bangka Belitung regional unit.

PJB said in a statement that the two companies also discussed the progress and obstacles encountered by PLN Bangka Belitung in developing the Bitung coal-fired power plant.

It was informed that construction of the power plant is scheduled for early July. PJB did not say when the power plant will be completed.
