PJB opens coal supply tender

PT Pembangkitan Jawa-Bali (PJB), a subsidiary of state-owned electricity firm PLN, which runs Paiton 1 and Paiton 2 power plants in East Java, announced pre-qualification (PQ) tender for the supply of coals to the company.
PJB is inviting coal mining companies holding the coal contract of work (PKP2B) or Production Operation IUP mining permit to individually or in a consortium to supply to the company 50,000 tons per month of coal with calorific value of 5,000 Kcal/kg (ar), and 100,000 tons per month of coal with calorific value of 5,300 Kcal per kg (ar) for a period of two years.
Among of the requirements set for the interested bidders are that the mines must be declared as clean clear by the government; minimum coal reserves of 2.5 million tons for mines supplying the 5,000 Kcal/kg coal, and 5 million tons for mines supplying the 5,300 Kcal/kg coal; have been in production during the past six months with monthly production capacity of 75,000 tons and 150,000 tons, respectively.
Registration can be made on October 15-23, 2014 at the PJB office on Jl Ketintang Baru No 11, Surabaya, East Java, during office hours.
Meanwhile, PQ documents can be submitted on October 16-24, office hours.
