PJB opens Paiton coal supply tender

PT. Pembangkitan Jawa Bali (PJB), a wholly-owned subsidiary of state electricity firm PLN, announced on Thursday the opening of spot tender of 180,000 tonnes of coal for October ?December 2007 delivery for its Paiton power plant in East Java.

PJB said it was looking for suppliers, which has supply capacity of at least 30,000 tonnes per month, 20,000 tonnes of which is un-contracted, have loading port that uses conveyor and ship the coal with at least 5,000 tonnes barge.

PJB is looking for coal with CV value of 5,000-5,200 kCal/kg AR, total moisture of 22-26%, HGI of 50-53, sulphur content of 0.1-0.4% AR and ash content of 2-6% AR.

Tender document could be obtained from August 6-10, 2007 at the company?s office.
