State-owned electricity company PJB denied a report it was negotiating with Lapindo Brantas and Kodeco for the supply of gas to the Gresik power plant in East Java.

PJB director of commerce and business development told Petromindo.com that the electricity company was only making gas supply contract with the state-owned oil and gas company Pertamina.

Earlier report on this website quoted Friday edition of the Neraca daily that PJB was negotiating with Lapindo Brantas and Kodeco amid fears of early decline in the gas reserves of BP?s Pagerungan field in East Java, triggering the company?s gas customers to scramble for other suppliers to cover a possible shortage.(Godang)
