PT Pembangkitan Jawa Bali (PJB), a unit of state electricity firm PLN that runs Paiton 800-MW coal-fired power plant in East java said it has secured the entire coal supply requirement for 2010.
PJB will require 300,000 tonnes of coal per month, 60 percent of which will be supplied by South Kalimantan coal producer PT. Adaro Indonesia, Coal Procurement Head Hari Suharso told Petromindo.Com on a sideline of McCloskey Asia Pacific Conference in Bali. The remaining 40 percent will be supplied by several small miners, he said.
PJB, however, might from time to time conduct spot tenders should there be supply disruptions, he said. (denny)
