Power company PT PJB, a unit of the state-owned electricity company PLN, is seeking for additional gas supply amid declining supply from its main supplier BP Indonesia, the Bisnis Indonesia daily reported.
Company marketing and development director Cahyo Sasmojo said that gas supply from BP had dropped from 242 MMSCFD to 180 MMSCFD.
He said that PJB had asked for additional supply of around 30 MMSCFD from Kodeco.
But he said that PJB was still seeking for additional supply from other gas companies.
BP Indonesia supply declines because of earlier than expected drop in the output of the Kangean gas field.(*)
