A consortium comprising of PT Pembangkitan Jawa Bali (PJB) and PT Prima Multi Artha plans to develop a 2x100 MW coal-fired mine-mouth power plant in Katingan Regency, Central Kalimantan.

PJB, a subsidiary of state-owned electricity firm PT. PLN, said in a statement that an MoU for the development of the project was signed on Tuesday by the consortium and the Katingan Regency administrations, which would among others be responsible in providing the necessary land for the project, seen crucial to help increase power supply in the region.

No further details were provided about the project.
