PJB to deploy mobile power plants in Papua

PT Pembangkitan Jawa Bali (PJB), a subsidiary of state-owned electricity firm PT PLN, plans to deploy seven units of mobile power plant in Papua in 2018 to help increase power supply in the province, Bisnis Indonesia reported on Tuesday.

The paper quoted PJB President Director Iwan Agung Firstantara as saying that the company has allocated US$105 million for the short-term project.

He added that the mobile power plant will each have a capacity of 10 MW. ?The (mobile) power plants will be operated in Sorong and Timika,? he said, adding that the mobile power plant can reach remote regions. (*)
