PJB upgrades gas turbine at Muara Karang power plant

Power firm PT Pembangkitan Jawa Bali (PJB), a subsidiary of state-owned electricity firm PT PLN, said it has successfully upgraded the gas turbine at its PLTGU Muara Karang combined cycle power plant in North Jakarta with a new technology.
The company said in a statement that the new 9E3-Series gas turbine technology was officially inaugurated on Monday.
The company said in the statement that the upgrade of the gas turbine at block 1 of the Muara Karang power plant has increased the net capacity of the plant to 106.83 MW from 90.53 MW during the day time, and to 110 MW from 90.53 MW during the night time.
