PKN eyeing 6 million tons output in 2014

Coal mining company PT Pesona Khatulistiwa Nusantara (PKN) is targeting to produce about 6 million tons in 2014 from its coal mines in Kelubir and Sekayan, East Kalimantan. This year the company is expected to produce about 5 million tons.

President Director Jeffrey Mulyono told Petromindo.com on Friday that the company will increase its output as the coal up grading plant project developed by a China's company in Sekayan is expected to be operated next year.

"We will supply the coal up grading plant as much as 1.2 million tons per year," he said adding, that the output expected from Kelubir mine year is about 1.5 million tons and from Sekayan mine 4.5 million tons.
