Coal mining company PT Pesona Khatulistiwa Nusantara (PKN) said that coal production from its mine in Sekayan, North Kalimantan, in January 2017 was only 150,000 tons, lower than the 200,000 tons target.

President Director, Jeffrey Mulyono told Petromindo.com Tuesday that the company failed to meet the production target due to bad weather condition.

"We didn't achieve the target due to the rainy season at the mine site," Jeffrey said. He added that all the coal were destined to India.
