PKN: Rangau?s coal resources estimated at 400 million tons

Coal mining company PT Pesona Khatulistiwa Nusantara (PKN) estimates the coal resources at its Rangau coal concession in Bulungan Regency, North Kalimantan, at about 300 to 400 million tons.
Jeffrey Mulyono, President Director of PKN, told Petromindo.com that the company is conducting exploration activity at the concession to ascertain its reserve amount.
The company has set an initial production target for the concession at about 250,000 tons in the first year, and the production will jump up to 2 million tons in the following year. The total size of the concession is 4,536 hectares, containing low CV coal
