PKN?s first-half coal output jumps 50.83%

Coal mining firm PT Pesona Khatulistiwa Nusantara (PKN) saw coal production from its mine in Bulungan, East Kalimantan, in the first semester of this year jumped by 50.83 percent to 905,000 tons from 600,000 tons in the corresponding period of last year.
?Production plan (for first semester) was 1,411,000 tons, and actual is 905,998 tons,? said PKN Director Tria Suprajeni to Petromindo.com recently.
Tria said that of the sales volume target of 1.3 million tons, only about 666,000 tons were realized in the first semester, almost all of which destined for the export market.
