PT Pesona Khatulistiwa Nusantara stated that its coal production from Kelubir Block, Bulungan Region, East Kalimantan during January and February was disrupted by the weather. Pesona Khatulistiwa's President Director Jeffrey Mulyono said that in January and February 2012, the company only produced 267.000 tons of coal from the Kelubir Block of the 375.000 tons targeted.

Jeffrey told Petromindo.com today that the disruption to production was mainly caused by the rainfall. However, Jeffrey is expecting that the production will be back to normal or even better in April as the rainy season would have been passed by then. Jeffrey added that all of the company's coal production of January and February had been absorbed by the consumers, especially by buyers from India.
