PKN?s Sekayan power plant to come onstream in September

Coal mining company PT Pesona Khatulistiwa Nusantara (PKN) is expected to operate its mine mouth power plant with the capacity 1x7,5 MW in Sekayan area of East Kalimantan by September 2015.

President Director, Jeffrey Mulyono told Petmindo.com on Friday that currently the power plant project is more than 90 percent complete.

?By Sept. 1, we expect the power plant will be commissioned,? he said adding that the total investment for this project is about US$ 18 million.

Jeffrey revealed that the power capacity generated by the Sekayan power plant will be mostly used for company?s operation in Sekayan.

?About 2 MW will be sold to (public utility) PLN,? he said.
