PKN ships 3rd handymax of coal to India, plans to enter China

East Kalimantan low-rank coal miner PT Pesona Khatulistiwa Nusantara (PKN) plans to ship two handymaxes of coal to undisclosed Indian buyer.

Marketing Manager Joy Sugoto told Petromindo.Com on Monday that coal will be shipped this month.

According to Joy, the Indian buyer has been satisfied with previous three shipments and may sign term contract in July.

Joy said that the Company will also make its maiden shipment to China on trial basis. ?PKN will ship one panamax of coal to China,? he said.

PKN produces coal with CV of 5,100Kcal/kg (ADB), TM 43%, ash 3.5% and sulfur 0.15%.(denny)
