PKN to produce 780,000 tons in Q2

Coal miner, PT Pesona Khatulistiwa Nusantara (PKN) expects to produce a total of 780,000 tons from its Sekayan Block and Kelubir Block in East Kalimantan in the second quarter of 2012, most of them would be exported to India.
The company?s Managing Director, Adrian expressed optimism that the company could achieve the target despite the uncertainty of weather condition.
"The Sekayan block has started to produce although it hasn't reached its optimum scale," Adrian said, adding that the site was expected to produce half of this year?s target.
The company produced only 344,000 tons in the first quarter this year.
