PLN a potential buyer of additional gas: Salamander

UK-based firm Salamander Energy said that PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) is a potential buyer of additional gas from its Kerendan field for the state owned utility?s Kerendan power plant which has the capacity to take 64 mmscfd.
Salamander said in a 2012 full year results release on this week that PLN?s power infrastructure in Kerendan is progressing well, on schedule to commence production mid-2014.
It added that while PLN will be ready to start receiving gas by mid 2014, Salamander's own facilities are on track to be completed well ahead of PLN's schedule.
The 320 MW power plant will be constructed 3 km from the Kerendan field, which contains 280 billion cubic feet (bcf) of certified resource.
